Broken Arrow Man Accused Of Assaulting Woman After He Was Released From Jail

Broken Arrow Police have arrested a man they say broke into his girlfriend's home and choked her after he was released from jail.

Officers say Austin Rawlings crawled in through the woman's back window Tuesday afternoon, but she allowed him to stay. Investigators say they later began arguing and he started choking her. An arrest report says a gun fell out of his waistband and they both reached for it, but it fired hitting Rawlings in the leg.

Both he and the victim will be okay.
