For a second year, Tulsa Public Schools will offer a unified enrollment system for all 77 of the district’s neighborhood schools, magnet schools, and district-authorized charter schools. The enrollment window for the 2021-2022 school year will open on Tuesday, Jan. 5 and run through Friday, Feb. 12. Enrollment is open for pre-kindergarten through 12th grades, and Tulsa children who will be four years old on or before Sept. 1 are eligible for the district’s free full-day pre-kindergarten programs.

“We are excited to launch our second year with this unified enrollment system,” said Superintendent Deborah A. Gist. “Our schools offer a range of learning experiences that meet the needs of every child, and the enrollment period is an opportunity for parents to explore the options available to them throughout our district.”

While the district will not offer in-person enrollment events this year, parents and families will be able to attend any of the virtual enrollment events that will take place throughout January and early February.

Gist said, “While we would certainly prefer to have our families visit schools in person, our school teams have been working hard to prepare exciting virtual tours and open houses that will help families learn about what each school community can offer for their child.”

Beginning the week of Jan. 10, the district will begin sharing a weekly event calendar for enrollment that will include:

  1. Parent information sessions on key topics including pre-kindergarten, dual language learning, college readiness, health and safety, and athletics programming;
  2. Virtual tours and virtual open houses at district schools;
  3. Opportunities to learn about schools through video, email, and websites; and

The district will hold a virtual Enrollment Expo where parents and students can learn and ask questions about school options in real-time. The virtual event for elementary schools will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and the virtual event for middle, junior high, and high schools will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
