Two men are in the Rogers County jail after deputies said they connected the men to a burglary in Kansas.

Rogers County Deputies said they found thousands of dollars in stolen property in a storage unit in Foyil.

“They were getting a phone on a cell phone ping that’s coming back to the area of Foyil in Rogers County. It was that information that was shared with us from Montgomery County,” said Sheriff Scott Walton.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said his deputies pulled over a truck matching the description of one used in a recent Kansas burglary.

“We’ve got two guys in there one of which is very well known to us Sean Jones. Certainly a frequent flyer to our jail in the same type of crime," said Sheriff Walton.

He said Chris McMahan was also in the truck with Sean Jones.

He said deputies found a stolen cell phone and several other items reported stolen from Kansas in the truck.

“We get conflicting statements form the two individuals. Fast forward, and the next thing we know we got a search warrant and we’re into a storage unit had a lot of property in it. Some we could prove stolen, and some we couldn’t," said Sheriff Walton.

He said deputies also found a gun in the storage unit.

“Also a concern was that out of this burglary was a stolen 380 pistol. So, we had ammunition from that pistol in the vehicle," said Sheriff Walton.

Sheriff Walton said Jones and McMahan now face felony charges of being convicted criminals taking a stolen gun across state lines.
