More Oklahoma Schools Return To In-Person Classes

Many Green Country schools are returning to in-person learning on Monday after a week of virtual learning when they came back from winter break. Many schools are also reminding parents and students that the school learning schedule remains fluid due to ever-changing COVID-19 case numbers within the districts. The list of districts returning to classes or the ones transitioning to in-person learning the week of January 11 are listed below.

Many Green Country schools are returning to in-person learning on Monday after a week of virtual learning when they came back from winter break. Many schools are also reminding parents and students that the school learning schedule remains fluid due to ever-changing COVID-19 case numbers within the districts.

The list of districts returning to classes or the ones transitioning to in-person learning the week of January 11 are listed below.

Bixby Public Schools: Starting in-person learning for all ages on January 11 as the first day of their spring semester.
Muskogee Public Schools: Beginning in-person learning for all students on January 11. They were previously doing virtual learning the week before for the first week of the spring semester.
Okmulgee: Beginning in-person learning for all students on January 11. They were previously doing virtual learning the week before for the first week of the spring semester.
Bristow Public Schools: Beginning in-person learning for all students on January 11. They were previously doing virtual learning the week before for the first week of the spring semester.
Jenks Public Schools: Students in grades 7-12 return in-person January 11, they had been in distance learning the week prior. Pre-K through 6th-grade students went back in person on January 5.
Coweta Public Schools: January 11 is a regularly scheduled virtual day. On January 12, all students except for the 5th Grade Intermediate Center return in person. The previously mentioned 5th-grade students will go back on Monday, January 18 according to the district’s website.
McAlester Public Schools: January 11 is a scheduled virtual day. On January 12 all students with last names that begin with the letters A-K will go back to class in person. Those with last names that begin with the letters L-Z will go back in person on Thursday, January 14 as a part of the district’s “group one and two” scheduling.
