Tulsa’s Dream Center is getting national recognition on Tuesday.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development designated it one of their “Envision Centers.” Those are groups across the country that work to connect low-income families with the tools to lead to self-sufficiency.
“I love that this is called the Tulsa Dream Center because this is a place where dreams will truly come to life,” Secretary of Housing & Urban Development Ben Carson said. “The purpose is to tap into the power of resiliency for your families, neighborhoods and local organizations to create opportunities for all our fellow citizens.”
The Dream Center is the third Envision Center in Oklahoma and the first in Tulsa.
