On Friday, the Gilcrease Museum will be opening the second phase of an exhibit highlighting Cherokee basket weaver Shan Goshorn.
"Weaving History into Art: The Enduring Legacy of Shan Goshorn" will feature 24 of the internationally recognized artist's baskets, including her final piece before her death.
The exhibit will be highlighted with a free virtual panel and film screening on Saturday at 2 p.m. The panel and film are in partnership with TU and Circle Cinema and highlight the traumatic history of Indigenous boarding schools, which are topics in Goshorn's work.
