Hundreds of Tulsa residents are still without water as crews work to repair water line breaks around town.

The city said 14 new water line breaks have been reported in just the past 24 hours.

The city's latest update shows 640 homes and 72 businesses don't have water because of 50 active water line breaks.

Four crews from Broken Arrow are helping Tulsa's crews with the repairs.

Clayton Edwards is Tulsa's Water Department Director and said when a new break is reported, crews have to shut the water off completely because the city's supply is still down.

"We are pumping about 75 million gallons more a day than we would normally average in February. Staff is surveying our water distribution system to see where that water may be, where we may be losing that water, but we have over 2200 miles of piping in our system so that is a big effort," said Edwards.

Edwards said since the winter storm his there have been 329 reported breaks to main water lines and 14 breaks in service lines.

To report any waterline breaks, you can call Water Dispatch at 918-596-9488 or Sewer Dispatch at 918-586-6999. Customers can also email the water department: waterbreaks@cityoftulsa.org

The City has created an interactive map that provides additional information on waterline breaks as they happen and are repaired. View the map here.
