Tulsa Police Investigate After Sonic Employee Robbed At Gunpoint

Tulsa Police say are searching for a person who they say robbed a Sonic employee at gunpoint on Monday night. According to police, a robber took money and an employee's apron before fleeing the scene. TPD said just before 10 p.m. officers were called to the scene of an armed robbery at the Sonic near 51st and Yale.

Tulsa police are investigating after they say a Sonic employee was robbed at gunpoint on Monday night.

According to police, a robber took money and an employee's apron before fleeing the scene.

TPD said just before 10 p.m. officers were called to the scene of an armed robbery at the Sonic near 51st and Yale.

Police said the victim told them that a man wearing a ski mask and holding a gun walked in demanding money from the employee and then ran towards the Barcelona Apartments.

Police said a witness in a vehicle followed the man, but the robber fired shots at the witness. Police say nobody was hurt and no evidence was recovered.

TPD told News On 6 they brought out a K9 unit to search the area but were unable to find anything.

Police ask that anyone with information call crime stoppers at 918-596-cops.
