Wednesday was day two of the trial for a man accused in the death of his 2-month-old daughter.
Martrell Thames was charged with Murder after his daughter was found unresponsive in their apartment in 2019, then later died at the hospital.
The day started with the jury listening to the lead detective's three and a half hour interview with Thames, where he repeatedly denied knowing what had happened to his little girl.

The detective testified Thames said while the baby’s mother was at the store, he laid his daughter down on the bed so he could take a shower and when he came back she wasn’t breathing.
Doctors told detectives the baby had serious head trauma, a brain bleed and cracked ribs and when they asked Thames how that could have happened he had no explanation.
Prosecutors called three witnesses to the stand today including the baby’s mother who testified that she and Thames argued about how to raise their kids and they had different ideas on how to handle a crying baby.
She testified that the baby had no previous falls or other injuries before her death. She also said Thames told her after their little died, he had fallen with her.
The defense brought up how the baby’s mother told detectives Thames was a great parent, never was physical with the children or her and the two never argued.
The medical examiner is expected to take the stand Thursday.
