Tulsa Oilers File Lawsuit Against BOK Center

The owners of the Tulsa Oilers are suing the management of the BOK Center, claiming they are owed $410,000 in damages caused by limits on attendance at hockey games.

The Oilers claim the attendance limits on premium seats, in particular, reduced concessions and other income that make holding games profitable.

The lawsuit claims the Oilers would have cancelled the season if the limits had been revealed before they committed to playing.

Attorneys for the Oilers said they couldn't comment, and the BOK Center didn't return News On 6's call yet.

The Oilers claim they lost money on every game because of the limited seating, but the BOK Center's management insisted they pay the full cost to use the building.

The disputed fees add up to $410,000 plus attorney fees.

The City of Tulsa owns the building, which is managed by SMG.
