Glenpool Police Arrest Man Accused Of Raping 23-Year-Old

Glenpool Police arrested a man who they said raped a woman in her mom’s home.

Police said the victim met 23-year-old Joseph Shelton online and in-person a few times before the day of the assault.

Officers said the victim told Shelton to stop several times and he only stopped when she threatened to scream for her parents who had weapons in the house.

Shelton is currently on a one-year deferred sentence from Bryant County for domestic assault and resisting arrest.
