The mom and brother of a Green Country man who has been missing for seven years are desperate for answers.
Richard Horn was last seen with a friend seven years ago in Cleveland and they’ve never found him or his body.
Kathye Horn flipped through photo after photo of her son Richard, each picture reminding her of happy moments they had together.
"He liked to fish and hunt, he liked life," Kathye said. "Helping people out with what he could do."
July 22, 2014 was the last time Richard was ever seen. The cold case website called Charley Project, said Richard was with an acquaintance, John Lee, and they were working.
"I talked to him on a Saturday," Kathye said. "He said he was going to be home that day, that John was going to bring him home, and he never showed up."
Next month will be seven years since Richard went missing.
Kathye and Richard's brother, Jeremy, said there have been many tips, but nothing ever led them to finding Richard and no one's ever been arrested.
"Anytime someone would call and tell them they would check it out and nothing ever came of it," Kathye said.
Kathye and Jeremy always think of Richard's outgoing, fun personality, and said the hardest part is just not knowing what happened to him.
Lee is also a person of interest in another missing person's case from 2017. Kathy Hemphill was last seen by Lee, her common-law husband, who was later spotted driving Kathy's car. He was arrested for auto theft but never Kathy or Richard's disappearances.
Now, the Horns just want someone to speak up.
"If it was them, they would want someone to do the same," said Jeremy.
"Closure, to know where he is, to get closure," Kathye said.
Kathye said she is filing next month to declare Richard legally dead. If you have any information on either case, you're asked to call the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017.
