A firetruck that was donated by Oklahoma students to the New York City Fire Department after 9/11 is returning to the Sooner State.

After raising $25,000, the Calera Fire department bought the firetruck a few weeks ago so they could bring it back to Oklahoma.

It’s called the Spirit of Oklahoma and bears the names of 10 first responders who helped after the OKC Bombing, but then lost their lives years later in the 9/11 terror attack. The truck is making its way down to Calera Wednesday where the fire department plans to restore it and eventually bring it to the Tulsa Fire Museum.

The Calera Fire Department is still raising money for the restoration. You can donate to their GoFundMe HERE.
