Thanks to a new tool, children with mobility issues at Tulsa's Little Light House are taking major strides.
The school gets to use a high-tech walker for a year after winning a social media contest.
Four-year-old Lincoln is all sass and drive. She has Cerebral palsy but in this Trexo Walker, she can go anywhere she wants to go.
The Trexo moves a child's legs for them, and you control the system by using a tablet.
"This shows how many steps she has taken, so far, she has taken 185. This is her time. Her speed, so it says 15 steps per minute, and we can increase that depending on how she is doing," said Little Light House Occupational Therapist Brooklyn Smith.
The Little Light House won the walker for a year thanks to a social media contest. The new tool came in last week, and now that training is done, the school is using it to help students reach milestones.
"We put Connor in it, and he walked out to his mom for the first time," said Brooklyn, "It means the world to all of us, we love to see our kids reach these milestones."
This is a tool that kids can sit in and gain independence, gain strength, learn how to walk correctly and their parents can see them do it - step by step.
"You can tell she is so proud of herself every time she does something new or does something her brothers can do," said Lincoln's Mom Lauren George.
