A Tulsa man is in the hospital after police said he was shot in the middle of a neighborhood west of downtown.
Investigators said an argument between two men who knew each other led to the shooting near Gilcrease Museum Road and the Sand Springs Expressway.
Tulsa Police said they first got calls around 1 p.m. Tuesday to shots being fired on North Yukon.
Witness Keith Slane said he heard his neighbor arguing with a man, and then what sounded like a firework.
That firework ended up being a gunshot.
“I heard the shot,” said Slane, a neighbor who lives nearby. “I could see that he was bleeding.”
Slane said the victim was shot in the shoulder and then walked all the way up the street.
Slane called 911, but said he was worried what would happen next since his pregnant granddaughter was at his house at the time.
"It was yeah, a little unnerving,” said Slane. “Before anyone got here just the concern over, he did actually hand off the gun to his dad before he headed up the street."
Police say the suspect was taken downtown for questioning. The victim is expected to survive.
Investigators say the two men knew each other and have been in an ongoing argument possibly over a girl, but they're still working through all the details.
So far police have not released anybody's name that is involved.
