1-Year-Old Who Was Abducted Found Safe In Tulsa

A one-year-old abducted from a Tulsa gas station has been found safe Thursday evening.

Police found the baby at the Autumn Woods Apartment complex at 51st and Utica, but police said everything started near West 61st and 49th West Avenue.

Tulsa Police and Muscogee Lighthorse Police said the call originally came in as an abduction, after they said a man got into an argument with someone at a gas station and took off in the victim's car with the child inside.

Officers said the suspect led highway patrol troopers on a chase to 55th and Lewis, where he crashed into another vehicle.

Police said the man kept going, but they did rescue the child at the apartment complex. Witnesses said they saw officers carrying a baby.

Tulsa Police believe this was not random because the victim and suspect know each other.
