Tulsa Police Investigating Shooting At Apartment Complex

Tulsa Police said a man is recovering in a hospital after being shot at an apartment complex near 31st and Garnett.

Investigators said the man was responsive when taken to the hospital and the investigation is ongoing. Officers say they were called to The Meadows around 11 p.m. on Wednesday night and found the victim lying in the grass by one of the buildings.

Lieutenant Chris O’Keefe with the Tulsa Police Department said he is not sure how many times the victim was shot. O’Keefe said first responders worked on the victim before he was taken to the hospital. Investigators said they found several shell casings in between cars at the complex but have not found any witnesses.

“We canvassed and there were several people out when we arrived, but none of them indicated they saw anything,” said O’Keefe.

Police are hopeful to learn more about what led up to the shooting if they get the chance to talk more with the victim.
