Despite some cold and rain, a good crowd came out to observe Day of The Dead at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Tuesday.

The Day of the Dead holds deep significance in Mexican and some Latin American communities as a time to remember family and friends who died.

"Today is the time when we come together as family, as community to celebrate the life of those who are deceased, and to share the memories also. And to pray together, which is the most important thing," Father David Medina of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church said.

Every year, members of the church spend days working together to get all the decorations and displays set up for the Day of the Dead.
