An Okmulgee woman will spend nearly four years in federal prison.

Melissa Dihel pled guilty to stealing more than $2.5 million from her work over eight years.

The Justice Department says Dihel was working as an office manager at a Broken Arrow business when she began taking company money in 2011.

Dihel already received a deferred sentence in 2009 for an unrelated embezzlement.

Prosecutors say she forged signatures and wrote more than 300 checks to herself, her boyfriend and family members, in order to gamble and pay off credit cards.
