Bartlesville To Hold Special Dedication Ceremony

The City of Bartlesville is holding a special event on Tuesday.

The Doris Stumpff Chapel of Grace will be dedicated at The Journey Home from 4 to 7 p.m.

The small chapel is dedicated in memory of Doris, who was involved in many organizations in Bartlesville.

There was heartache felt by many members of her community when a tragic accident claimed her life in 2002.

Throughout the years, different ideas were discussed about improvements that would be appropriate for the land behind the Journey Home.

In the end, the idea for a chapel in her honor was born and it turned out great.

Thanks to volunteers, the chapel is complete with stained glass windows, wooden benches and barn door sides on each side to create a breezeway among the trees.
