An 11-year-old student at Muskogee Public Schools helped save two people in one day.
School officials say Davyon Johnson used the Heimlich maneuver on another student who was choking last week. That same day after school, Davyon saw a house fire and ran to help a woman with a walker get out of the home.
"I thought 'oh, she's not moving fast enough.' So I ran across the street and helped her to her truck," said Davyon.
The superintendent and Muskogee Police recognized Davyon at Tuesday's school board meeting. Davyon says he wants to be an EMT when he grows up.
