Former Bixby High School Teacher Sentenced To 5 Years In Child Pornography Case

A former Bixby High School teacher was sentenced to five years in federal prison on Thursday for recording up a student's skirt with his cell phone.

Jason Byrd pleaded guilty to child pornography charges. He also admitted to deleting the photos from his phone to hide evidence. Byrd taught math at Bixby High School for 12 years. He resigned after his arrest in 2020, and the state board of education revoked his teaching license.
