The State Department is warning Americans to make contingency plans and get travelers insurance if they are planning on traveling abroad.
As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the nation, the department wants Americans to be financially prepared in the event they have to stay in a foreign country longer than expected.
Travelers insurance should include both cancelation and medical benefits.
