TPS Elementary Students Celebrate MLK Jr.'s Birthday

Some Tulsa students celebrated Doctor Martin Luther King Junior's birthday today.

John Burroughs Elementary hosted a balloon release in the afternoon on January 14.

Each student wrote a wish for the future along with a birthday greeting and put it inside the balloon.

Each balloon has a note that includes the school's phone number, so people who find the balloons can report back on how far the balloons have traveled.
