ClearSign Technologies Moves Headquarters From Seattle To Tulsa

A technology company is moving its headquarters from Seattle to Tulsa.

The CEO of ClearSign Technologies, Jim Deller, said Tulsa couldn't be a better location for his company to grow.

"We very much need to grow but to grow in this industry you need the expertise, and the key driver for us is this is where the combustion capital of the world is. There's a very skilled workforce here," Deller said.

ClearSign is a tech company in the refining and petrochemical industry.

It develops high-efficiency sensors and burning equipment that reduce pollution.

Deller said they operate in Seattle, Tulsa, and Beijing, but he wants his company headquarters to grow in Tulsa. That means bringing on local workers and engineers.

"The local universities put out very high-quality engineers. So for us to grow and to find the talent we need, this was clearly the part of the country and truly the part of the world that we needed to be," Deller said.

Besides creating new jobs, Deller plans to partner with other companies already in Tulsa.

He said many of their suppliers and service providers already operate in Green Country.

ClearSign plans to work closely with local companies like Zeeco, which also produces combustion equipment.

"For us, the move from Seattle into Tulsa was a obvious thing that we had to do for the long-term growth and development of our business," Deller said.
