Tulsa Man Escapes Early Morning House Fire

A man and his dog are safe after escaping an early morning house fire on Friday.

Officials say the fire broke out at a home near Pine and Harvard around 2:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke in the attic.

According to firefighters, the man was awoken by his smoke detector.

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
