It's the story that has everyone talking. A 4.5 magnitude earthquake rattled Oklahoma today.

The epicenter was in Grant County, not far from Medford.

We’ve heard everything, from it felt like an amusement park ride, to a couch turned teeter totter, and some who felt absolutely nothing.

Oklahoma state regulators are advising three Arbuckle oil and gas wastewater disposal wells within 6 miles of the epicenter to be closed off.

Meanwhile, other wells within 10 miles will be restricted to an average volume of 500 barrels a day.

USGS also shows an earthquake with a 3.7 magnitude near Quinton around 10:20 a.m.

People across Oklahoma were doing their daily routines when around 11:10 a.m. an earthquake interrupted, sending shock waves rippling.

"Is that what that was? I was not sure what that was, but I felt that when I was walking against the sidewalk, and I thought it was a big ole bus had come down the street. I'm not from here and I thought it was just the rumbling. I really did. Ah I'm scared now," said Cherie Byington.

Cherie Byington had never felt an earthquake until today.

"My whole body did," said Cherie Byington.

"I'm gonna have to go run and hide and go somewhere else right," said Byington.

Daria Derda was mid zoom call, her dog Janek was taking a nap, when her doors started shaking.

"Talk about a horrible wake up. Right bud? Haha yeah, you didn't like it at all," said Derda.

Derda said it was like being on a topsy turvy amusement park ride. It even knocked her router over.

"Lost connection. Said goodbye to all my coworkers and decided to go grab a coffee," said Derda.

Others felt the quake but not the fear.

"I was like, 'Oh my God. Did you feel that? It was crazy!' And then my phone started blowing up," said Stephanie Acquario.

Musician Ben Mosier was recording music upstairs in his Broken Arrow house when his house began to shake.

The earthquake also woke up Curtis Henderson.

"Felt more like an aftershock what I felt,” said Henderson.

Others didn't feel a thing.

"11th floor. Didn't feel squat. Get on Facebook and it's blowing up," said Brent.

"I've never felt an earthquake, so I was kind of disappointed," said Jay Keywood.

There was a 4.2 magnitude earthquake recorded in the state last February.

Before that, other notable quakes include a 5.7 in 2011, and the record-breaking 5.8 magnitude earthquake in 2016.
