OHP Troopers Identify Man Killed In Deadly Crash In Ottawa County

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have identified a victim killed in a deadly crash along I-44 in Ottawa County.

According to troopers, the crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Monday, just east of Miami, Oklahoma.

Troopers identified the victim of the crash as 72-year old William Arthrell of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Arthrell was traveling eastbound along I-44 when authorities say he made man illegal u-turn through an opening in the barrier wall. Troopers say Arthrell pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle and was hit.

According to troopers, Arthrell was pronounced deceased on the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The other driver involved in the crash was not injured.
