The eighth annual Oklahoma Local Agriculture Summit is set to kick off on Tuesday at the Stoney Creek Hotel in Broken Arrow.
The focus of the event is to increase the availability of local food in Oklahoma communities. It is also meant to boost farmers markets and agri-tourism.
The department of Agriculture says it hopes to do this through education and increasing network opportunities.
Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, and the Secretary of Agriculture will be two of the key featured speakers.
The conference will last through Thursday.
