OSBI Investigating Tax Disruption At Oklahoma Tax Commission

Court filing revealed that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a Sand Springs woman over a reported disruption of the Oklahoma Tax Commission database dating back to 2019.

The woman has not been charged, so she is not being named at this time.

In a request for a search warrant, agents say the OTC received more than 40 fictitious payments ranging from $20 to $37T.

They say because of the size and the fact they were not tied to an authentic bank account, it disrupted the OTC system and took significant effort to reverse them.

Agents say their investigation led them to a former employee of a Green Country tag agency and the investigation is ongoing.
