Classes at McLain High School are canceled on Wednesday, October 5, following a deadly shooting after Friday's homecoming football game.
Tulsa Public Schools made the announcement online HERE.
TPS canceled classes for the third consecutive day after the shooting that police said killed 17-year-old Terron Yarbrough.

On Monday, detectives said a 20-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl were shot and taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.

TPS said classes will resume on Thursday, October 6.

Dear McLain parents and families,
Our team members have been working across the day today to determine how best to support our students through this difficult and painful time for our community. Based on the supports that we know students will need when classes resume, we have made the decision that classes will suspended again on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Classes will resume on Thursday, Oct. 6.
This afternoon, we will be sharing additional information regarding supports for students and information for parents and families about preparing to return to classes on Thursday. Please look for that update through email and text message later today.
