Congressman Markwayne Mullin is getting promoted to Senator after defeating former congresswoman Kendra Horn by more than 25 points to replace retiring Senator Jim Inhofe.

Mullin will have to run again in 2026 to secure a full term.

He said on Six In The Morning Wednesday that he plans to continue Inhofe's legacy and commitment to the military, as well as work on energy.

"It's a huge impact for the state of Oklahoma. It's the third-largest economic impact on the state and then we gotta work on energy. Energy is the backbone of the economy. Without reliable and affordable energy, you can't have an affordable economy," said Mullin.
