Something Good is happening at Tulsa International Airport. An ongoing program called Tunes at TUL brings musicians to the airport to entertain travelers.
Travelers going through Tulsa International are getting a special treat, because Jazz artist Branjae is filling the terminal with great music.
"For me, what I get out of music is just downright feel good ya know, and I want to share that positive energy with anybody that's around me," said Branjae.
The airport has partnered with the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts, and Culture to showcase local musicians and show off what Tulsa has to offer.
Organizers said travelers are usually surprised to see live music like this while waiting for their flight, but it's a welcome sight.
"You'll see kids dancing and interacting. You'll see people go up that are already fans and they're like, 'I did not expect to see you at the airport today,'" said Kim Keuhler with Tulsa International Airport.
She said Tunes at TUL is a great way to show off all types of genres.
"Red dirt, from pop to jazz, so it's always a fun mix, they're always local artists and we just love having them out," said Keuhler.
Branjae said the world around us can be heavy and travel can be a hassle, but she hopes to bring joy through her music.
"I feel that weight and people around me feel that weight and I know that strangers do too, so I just want to spread that little bit of light to them as they're passing through, going to their next destination," Branjae said.
You can check the airport’s website to find out when live performances are scheduled.
