4 Dead After Crash On Highway 48

The Pawnee County Sheriff's Office said four people died in a crash Friday night near Highway 48, south of 412 near Terlton.

The crash shut down the highway for a couple hours after a fire consumed the two vehicles involved.

Officers said one of their former jailers and reserve deputies, RaeAnn Crank Jarvis, died in the crash. 

According to police, she was working to become a full time police officer. 

The crash is under investigation.
