Man Killed, Teenager Injured After Shooting In Tulsa, Police Say

A man is dead and a teenager is injured after a shooting Friday afternoon in Tulsa, authorities confirmed.

Tulsa Police were called to the scene of a shooting near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and E 56th Street North.

A 34-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were both shot and taken to the hospital, but the 34-year-old has died, police said.

Police said they do not have a lot of information on the suspect, but said he ran from the scene with black shorts on and no shirt.

Captain Richard Meulenberg said they will need the public's help to find him.

"Like everything else, this is going to require the community's help, to bring this person to justice so we have every confidence we will solve this crime. But we are early on and going to need some help putting the pieces together," he said.
