Three people are in custody after leading officers on a short chase in a stolen rental car overnight, Tulsa Police said.

Police said the department's flock cameras helped tip officers about the stolen car. Police said it was taken from an Enterprise in Tulsa.

Flock cameras spotted the car several times on Thursday in an area of 61st and Peoria, according to police.

Around 10:30 Thursday night, another flock camera spotted the car near the Tulsa Country Club, police said.

When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to pull over, which prompted the chase, police said.

Officers said the chase only reached speeds of 45 miles per hour.

Officers laid out spike strips to try to slow it down even more, but the driver kept going, police said.

Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol got involved and used a tactical move to stop the vehicle along the Osage Prairie Trail, officers said.

After that, everyone inside the car got out and ran away, police said. TPD's K-9 unit was nearby and helped catch two of the suspects, police said.

Police said they think four people were involved in this chase and one of them got away.

Police said the suspects threw something out of the window twice during the chase, and they later found drugs in the stolen car.
