Dry January Sees Growth In Tulsa, Local Brewery Embraces The Trend

Many people across Green Country are setting New Year’s Resolutions like dry January, where many will stop consuming alcohol for the whole month.

Hanging out at a bar often involves ordering a beer or a cocktail for most people, but Nothings Left Brewing Company has options for everyone like mocktails and non-alcoholic beers.

"Our brewery and other breweries in Tulsa are very community and technically family-centered,” said Lacy Richards, co-owner of Nothings Left. “People love bringing their families out they love having a place they can go in the public that could be fun and festive and be able to bring their kids or their family and have lots and lots of options."

The brewery has offered non-alcoholic drinks for a few years, but the popularity of Dry January and the growing demand for non-alcoholic drinks in general inspired Richards to host dry bar events last year.

"Dry January is obviously something so many people love to do after New Year’s,” Richards said. “They love to clean up, they want to get alcohol out of their life for thirty days and so we said if you can't beat them join them and so we wanted to support those people. That was such a great way to test the waters and see what people liked."

They had a lot of success and are excited to offer dry bar nights again this year.

She hopes more people who don't drink alcohol or who are taking a break will come join in on the fun.

Nothings Left will have a full dry bar every Wednesday from 3 to 9 for the whole month of January.
