New Direction International Church Holds Grand Opening At New Location

A Tulsa church has a building to call its own for the first time, and it's opening its doors to the community.

Senior Pastor Tommy Davis started New Direction International in his home and even held sermons at a hotel for the past year.

On Sunday, the church held a grand opening at its new location, which is in the First Christian Church's Family Life Center building on Main and 3rd in Jenks.

New Direction International partnered with First Christian Church to lease the building next to the church for New Direction's services.

The building has a basketball court and Pastor Davis said he wants to use it for the community.

"We want to definitely utilize this court that we have to reach the youth and allow them to have a place to come to where they not only have a good place to worship, but a good place to have fun immediately after that," Davis said.

Service is held at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings.
