People at a Tulsa apartment complex are at their wit's end because they say they’ve been without hot water for more than a month.

They say the problem started in December, and the cold weather has only made it worse.

The sign at Crossing at Southern Hills reads "Under New Management,” but residents say there haven't been any changes since the current company took over a year ago.

Hot running water is something Chelsea Flowers says would be an answered prayer.

For more than a month, she says she has been boiling water on a stove to clean or bathe. Not just for herself but for her husband and their three daughters.

“It's hard to clean your house when you have to boil water to try to wash your dishes,” Flowers said.

She’s not alone. Her neighbors say it's affecting everyone in the building at the Crossing at Southern Hills and managers aren't returning their messages.

“We’ve heard nothing, absolutely nothing from them,” Flowers said.

News On 6 tried calling and texting the apartment manager's direct number as well, but the number no longer works.

When we tried the property manager, Red Oak Management listed with the Tulsa Apartment Association, this was the answer:

“Well, I don’t know what, and I don't want you calling anymore 'cause I'm in a facility for older adults,” the voice of an elderly woman who says she'd received angry phone calls for the last month.

Residents say their concerns stem from more than just water concerns. Things like overflowing trashcans, trash all over the property, broken pipes in a corner, and a hole that is filled with water in another corner that is only blocked with caution tape.

The property is also infested with roaches, which the Tulsa Health Department cited the property for earlier this month.

Flowers says with all of the issues, her 5-year-old daughter missed several days of kindergarten.

“If she misses up to 10 days of school in a row, then TPS could potentially drop her, and I would have to re-enroll her,” Flowers said.

We also tried to talk to the apartment manager at their office, but they were already gone for the day.
