A woman is dead after a crash Friday night on Highway 412 in Mayes County, authorities say.

A woman is dead after a crash Friday night on Highway 412 in Mayes County, authorities say.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Stephanie Morrison of Fort Worth, Texas, died after the crash at a nearby hospital.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes where OHP says Morrison rear-ended a semi that was slowing to turn northbound on Highway 412B.

OHP said Morrison was driving at a high rate of speed.

The semi-driver, a 61-year-old man, was not injured.

OHP said the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.

There is one lane of westbound highway 412 open as of 7 p.m., authorities say.
