A lot of Chiefs fans from Tulsa were at the parade and are telling News On 6 what it was like during the shooting.
One fan says it was terrifying, chaotic and there was a lot of confusion.
Hunter Zuel is a lifelong Chiefs fan and couldn't wait to get to Kansas City to celebrate the team's back-to-back Super Bowl Championships.
"All I can think about is the juxtaposition of this high energy atmosphere, we are partying, we are having fun, to somberness, said Zuel.
Zuel says he and his mom watched the parade, then went to a downtown entertainment area, Power and Light, to watch the victory rally on TV with hundreds of other fans.
"We were just celebrating. We were at the bars, people were drinking and having a good time, then after the rally, the news stations went into breaking news, because all we could see was a stretcher,” said Zuel.
Zuel says the whole place went silent.
"All you could hear was people trying to call loved ones telling them they are safe, and texting. Just a lot of silence,” said Zuel. "It was a lot, a lot of chaos. Power and Light, they locked down. No one could get in, but people could leave."
They later saw police everywhere and people were evacuating Union Station and ambulances leaving the scene. He's thankful he's safe, but it was too close.
"It is a weird feeling. I've never had to say I'm safe. other than like a hurricane, or a storm. My heart goes out to the families. I can't even imagine the chaos at the rally, at Union Station, trying to find your kids,” said Zuel.
Hunter says it was great to see all the Chief's fans helping each other during all the chaos.
