The Collinsville community is coming together to help raise money for a family who was seriously hurt in a crash in August.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a teen went through a stop sign in the path of the Lee family's SUV. The teen died on the scene and was identified by the community as 16-year-old Gage Nunes.

Sunday a silent auction was hosted to help the Lee family with their recovery.

The auction included a chili cookoff, a cake contest, and more.

“In the face of tragedy, you're still going to see the heartbeat and the love of people come together in this community,” said Bill Bennett, a member of the Collinsville community.
