Sami Cooper, owner and operator of Big Dipper Creamery, invites everyone to an evening of retro fun and quirky nostalgia at their Brookside location on Sept. 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The creamery will transform into a haven for fans of the cult classic film "UHF".
Event Highlights:
About the Film:
"UHF" is a comedic gem starring George Newman, an inventive but unemployed dreamer who becomes the manager of a local television station. The station’s offbeat programming leads to outrageous humor and a series of unforgettable sight gags.
Tulsa-Metro Locations in the Film:
Several familiar spots from the Tulsa-Metro area make an appearance in "UHF", including City Hall, the warehouse supermarket on South Peoria that stands in for Spatula City, and Kuni’s Karate School at 114 W. Archer.
The Metropolitan Car:
The Nash Metropolitan, affectionately named Coco, holds a special place in the event. Owned by Sami's grandfather, Lee Blair, and now in the care of Sami's parents, Coco was driven by Weird Al in the film. The car remains in mint condition and will be showcased during the event.

Twinkie Wiener Sandwiches:
Fans of "UHF" will recognize the Twinkie Wiener Sandwich, a bizarre yet iconic creation from the film made of a Twinkie, hot dog, and cheese whiz. Apart from having Twinkie Wiener Sandwiches, Big Dipper Creamery will also have a gourmet twist: toasted marshmallow Twinkie ice cream sandwiched between two Twinkies, topped with candied bacon and cheese whiz-colored whipped cream.
