Gathering Place is adding three new characters who will walk around the park. They characters are “Blue” the Heron, “Tulsey” the Turtle, and a squirrel that Tulsa kids are being asked to name in a special contest.
It has been one month since the highly anticipated grand opening of Tulsa's Gathering Place. Tuesday morning, Park Director Tony Moore stopped by 6 In The Morning to talk about the past month.
The City of Tulsa is doing more to stop Gathering Place visitors from parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Monday was day 3 at Gathering Place and lots of people were out enjoying the park, including quite a few checking out the new skate park and watching some pros show off their skills.
It's quiet now, but the Grand Opening started out with a bang and hundreds of people, stayed for some great live music. It all kicked off with a parade and then ended with a live concert.
