The owner of the vacant Tulsa Club building presented its plans to turn it into a hotel to the City of Tulsa Thursday morning.
Ross Group brought the historic building at 115 East 5th Street for $1.2 million last year.
Ross Group presented its plans to the city's economic development committee where they were asking for a tax abatement. The committee decided to move it on to the individual taxing entities for consideration.
Plans for the luxury hotel includes a restaurant on the 11th floor and full restoration of the ballroom on the 9th and 10th floors of the building.
Total cost of the project is more than $24 million and the hotel would be managed by Promise Hotels, the the same group that is behind the Hampton Inn in downtown Tulsa.
