A Catoosa girl who was critically injured in a rush hour wreck Friday evening has died. The 16-year-old girl, whose name has not been released due to her age, died at 3:20 p.m. at a Tulsa hospital.

Troopers say the girl was in the back seat of a Ford Mustang that slowed for traffic on Interstate 44 at 129th East Avenue at 4:30 p.m. August 22, 2014. The driver of a Ford Raptor did not see the other cars slow and hit the Mustang.

An investigating trooper at the scene told News On 6 the Raptor drove over the Mustang that was occupied by three Catoosa residents.

Roberto Sandoval Gamboa, 33, was driving the Mustang. He was admitted to a Tulsa hospital where he was said to be stable. A 15-year-old boy in the Ford was treated and released.

Two other vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction wreck, but the people in those cars were uninjured.

Troopers say the condition of the drivers at the time of the wreck and the cause of the collision are still under investigation.
