Severe weather moved into northeastern Oklahoma Tuesday night, causing power outages and prompting advisories from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch was issued for several Green Country counties, including Tulsa and surrounding areas. The watch expired at 1 a.m. Wednesday. And a severe Thunderstorm warning covered most of Northeast Oklahoma until midnight.

The fast moving system was capable of producing nickel size hail and wind gusts of up to 50 mph as it continued east.

The storm may have also caused power outages in the area.

Public Service of Oklahoma said more than 1,500 customers lost power in Tulsa, Rogers, Nowata and Washington Counties Tuesday night. Powered was restored to most customers by midnight.

The Montgomery County, Kansas Sheriff's Office reported power poles down in the Cherryvale area. They say also said they received at least dime sized hail in the area.
