Tulsa Man Found Guilty In 2010 Beating Death

A man charged with the beating death of another man in May of 2010 was found guilty Thursday.

A Tulsa County jury found Cody Lee Poleszak guilty of second degree murder, a lesser charge than prosecutors had brought to the case. 

Poleszak was charged with beating to death a man in the early morning hours on May 08, 2010.

Poleszak claimed self defense when the he and the victim got into an argument at Poleszak's home. He also said the man hit him and "stomped his face" into the ground.

The jury is recommending a 20 year sentence. He'll appear in court February 23, 2012, for sentencing.
