Cherokee County Grand Jury Impaneled Monday Morning

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- Subpoenas have been issued for witnesses to appear before a Cherokee County grand jury which was seated Monday.

The grand jury meeting in Tahlequah was requested by a father over the disappearance and possible death of his son in 2004.

Carl Adams circulated a petition in July to get the grand jury to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Stephen Adams on December 13, 2004.

Legal advisor to the grand jury and Cherokee County District Attorney Brian Kuester has also set up a dedicated phone line for people to call if they believe they have pertinent information for the grand jury.
