Hundreds of family and friends of a fallen hero were finally able to pay tribute after his funeral was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
28-year-old Technical Sergeant Marshal Roberts died in a rocket attack overseas back in March.
Ron Moseley, who is a part of a group called Guard Riders of Oklahoma, paid their respects. Many group members also served in the armed forces.
"It's very hard to lose one in combat,” Moseley said.
The funeral service was held inside the Claremore Expo Center. Roberts’ family and friends were joined by members of the Oklahoma Air National Guard, which Roberts was a member of.
Roberts received a 21-gun salute as well as a F-16 flyover.
Wanda Inman, who attended the funeral, knows all too well what it's like to have a son who's deployed.
"I think it's awesome to honor him and show the family we care,” Inman said.
